Touba : une dispute sur l’hygiène de l’enfant tourne à l’horreur
In Touba, a man identified by the initials D. Fall was severely burned with hot oil by his wife following a violent argument that occurred on the night of May 30-31 at their home in Guédé. Alerted around 3 p.m. on May 31, the special police station was contacted by a member of the victim's family. He was rushed to Cheikhoul Khadim Hospital and will likely be transferred to Dakar due to the severity of his injuries.
The alleged perpetrator, Ms. Khouma (26 years old), fled after the attack before being apprehended by the Criminal Investigation Unit. During questioning, she reportedly stated that she acted out of revenge, citing repeated violence from her husband. She explained that the argument began because she hadn't cleaned their son, who was in the bathroom. Following this altercation, she allegedly heated oil and poured it on her husband, who was sitting on the veranda.
Placed in police custody, the suspect is being questioned as part of the investigation, which is continuing under the supervision of the Mbacké prosecutor's office, pending medical results, reports Libération.
