Trafic de drogue à Grand-Yoff : Trois dealers interpellés par la police
On Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at approximately 10:00 AM, the Grand-Yoff district police station's investigation unit arrested three individuals in the Grand-Yoff housing project for possession for use and offering or transferring cannabis. They are: DS Ba, born April 19, 2006, in Keur Massar, son of Oumar and Amély Diatta, a student residing in Khar Yalla; M. Diaw, born January 25, 1991, in Dakar, a plumber residing in the Millionaire housing project; and M. Dia, born January 9, 1976, in Dakar, a merchant residing in Scat Urbam.
The first two men were apprehended in a back alley of the neighborhood, in possession of two and three packets of marijuana respectively. When questioned, they stated that they had acquired the drugs from a man named Mass, a resident of the area.
A search was conducted at his home, where he was found with 500 grams of loose cannabis wrapped in a Senegalese national team jersey. When questioned, he unconvincingly claimed to have found the drugs there, without providing any further details.
It should be noted that the individual in question is known to the police for similar offenses. They were taken into custody for the aforementioned reasons. The public prosecutor's office has been notified and an investigation is underway.
