Trafic de drogue au Plateau : Dame Amar et ses quatre acolytes déférés par la BRS de Dakar
The Dakar Regional Narcotics Brigade (BRS), part of the Central Office for the Suppression of Illicit Drug Trafficking (OCRTIS), has shut down a drug trafficking network operating from an apartment on the tenth floor of a building in the Plateau district. Five suspects, including the alleged mastermind, Dame Amar, and his Moroccan partner, were brought before the Dakar High Court this Thursday morning, according to Seneweb sources.
A network dismantled in the heart of Dakar
The police operation, carried out on the night of September 2, 2025, at around 12:30 a.m., led to the arrest of five individuals as part of an investigation into a vast drug trafficking network in the Senegalese capital. The suspects were identified as follows:
- Dame Amar, 35, presenting herself as Director General of Transport AMAR, considered the brains of the organization
- Maalaoui Ghita, born in 2000 in Casablanca, claiming to be a dentist practicing in a local hospital
- Ibra Gueye, 39 years old, presenting himself as Dame Amar's bodyguard.
- Serigne Saliou Fall, 39 years old, calling himself a masseur
- Meissa Ngom Ndiaye, 46 years old, presenting himself as Dame Amar's driver.
A meticulously prepared operation
The police intervention follows the exploitation of information revealing the existence of a drug distribution network in the Dakar Plateau area. According to the information gathered, Dame Amar allegedly acquired a large quantity of narcotics with the intention of organizing a "drug party" commonly known as a "TRAP" at her home.
A surveillance system was deployed around the prime suspect's home. The operation began when investigators intercepted an individual leaving the building. Identified as Dame Amar's close guard, the latter agreed to cooperate and guided the police to the tenth-floor apartment.
The search carried out on the premises led to the discovery and seizure of:
Illicit substances:
- 2 bags containing 100 grams of Indian hemp of the "skunks" variety
- A jar containing 10 grams of hashish
- A hashish joint
- A crusher
Other items seized:
- 9 cell phones
- 2 bank checks
- A passport
- 5 gold bracelets
- 1 gold ring
- 4 luxury vehicles: a Lamborghini, a Porsche, a Rolls-Royce and a Nissan
A failed corruption attempt
The operation took a turn when Meissa Ngom Ndiaye arrived at the scene at the invitation of Dame Amar and attempted to bribe Commissioner Adama Wele, head of the Dakar Regional Narcotics Brigade, with the sum of 2 million CFA francs. He was immediately overpowered and placed under arrest.
Denial of facts and refusal of testing
During their hearing in the presence of their lawyers, Dame Amar and her Moroccan partner Maalaoui Ghita categorically denied the charges against them and refused to submit to a urine drug test.
Charges retained
According to Seneweb sources, all the accused were presented to the prosecutor on several charges:
- Criminal association
- Possession of drugs (skunks, hashish) for the purpose of use
- Money laundering
- Attempted bribery
