The Dakar Research and Surveillance Brigade (BRS) dealt a major blow to a hashish trafficking network operating from The Gambia. Three individuals were arrested on January 10, 11, and 12, 2026, as part of a thorough investigation. They are PGTall, born in 1999 and claiming to be a delivery driver residing in Grand-Dakar, and DB Guèye, born in 1996, also a delivery driver residing in Dieupeul 1.

An investigation initiated on January 10th

These arrests are part of an ongoing investigation into drug dealer D. Diarra, who has been in custody since January 10, 2026, for the same offenses. Analysis of his mobile phone allowed investigators to establish that he was involved in trafficking hashish imported from The Gambia, with the complicity of PG Tall, responsible for retail sales, and Pape Doudou, whose identity was not further specified, who supplied him.

First trap set on January 11th

On January 11, 2026, at 1:40 PM, a sting operation was set up to apprehend PGTall. He had been asked to bring D. Diarra some spare clothes and food. Upon arrival at the police station, he was arrested in possession of 32,500 CFA francs and an iPhone 12 Pro.

Furthermore, investigators placed a test order for a slab of hashish with a man named Pape Doudou, for 380,000 CFA francs. On January 12, 2026, at 2:25 a.m., during the transaction in Dieuppeul, DB Guèye, who was traveling on a motorcycle with Pape Doudou, was apprehended in possession of the order and a cell phone, according to Seneweb sources. Pape Doudou managed to escape and is actively being sought.

The hashish (100g), mobile phones, cash, and motorcycle were seized and impounded. The suspects were taken into custody for conspiracy, possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, and complicity in drug trafficking.
