Trafic international de drogue : Le GARSI 1 intercepte un motocycliste en provenance du Mali avec 16 kg
During the night of March 24-25, 2026, elements of the Rapid Action Surveillance and Intervention Group (GARSI 1) intercepted a drug trafficker at the intersection of National Road 2 (RN2 ) and the Amadji track, in the locality of Sinthiou Deboukholé, a border commune with Mali.
The suspect was riding a motorcycle loaded with 16 kg of packaged cannabis, destined for other locations. Spotted during a night patrol, he was apprehended by GARSI 1 and his cargo was seized.
In accordance with procedure, the seized goods and the suspect were handed over to the Kidira gendarmerie brigade for further judicial investigation. The investigation aims in particular to identify those who commissioned the network and to dismantle the supply and distribution channels.
