Commuters on the toll highway should prepare for significant delays this Thursday, April 16, 2026. The Autoroute de l'Avenir (Highway of the Future) has reported a severe traffic disruption beginning at 2:45 PM, specifically at the Sébikotane exit in the direction of Dakar.
This major congestion follows several accidents along this stretch of road. The incidents have resulted in substantial material damage, involving two heavy goods vehicles, one public transport vehicle, and nine passenger cars. This series of collisions has created a traffic jam currently stretching approximately 3 kilometers (about 1.9 miles).
Emergency response teams are already on site to clear the lanes and secure the area. The highway management company assures users they will be notified as soon as normal traffic flow resumes.
