Tribunal du commerce : Vers un accord à l'amiable entre la DER/FJ d'Aïda Mbodji et SERTEM ?
The case between the General Delegation for Rapid Entrepreneurship for Women and Youth (DER/FJ) and the company SERTEM was heard on April 2, 2026, at the Dakar Commercial Court. However, according to Seneweb, the case was adjourned until June 16, 2026, for a reconciliation hearing before the pre-trial chamber.
The dispute concerns the construction project for the Mohamed Bin Zayed Center, intended to house the headquarters of the DER/FJ in Mermoz. The contract, valued at 17.24 billion FCFA, was initially awarded to the SERTEM group in 2021.
However, the DER/FJ, under the leadership of Aïda Mbodji, decided to terminate the contract, accusing the company of delays in its execution. For its part, SERTEM cites, in addition to the failure to submit certain contractual documents, an accumulation of payment delays estimated at 2.6 billion FCFA to justify the suspension of work. The company also points to the failure to provide the necessary exemptions for the continuation of the project.
