Un berger de 25 ans tué à la machette : le suspect déféré
The investigation into the tragic murder of 25-year-old shepherd Samba Amadou Sow has taken a major step forward. The suspected murderer, who was arrested on the day of the tragedy and held in custody at the Dodji gendarmerie brigade, was brought before the Louga prosecutor's office on Tuesday on charges of murder.
The events took place on Friday, April 24, 2026, at around 3 p.m., in the village of Somme Dandé, located in the district of Dodji. Alerted by the horrific scene, the gendarmes quickly arrived at the location to carry out the usual investigations.
The lifeless body of the victim, killed with machete blows, was taken to the morgue at Magatte Lô Hospital in Linguère. The death certificate issued by the forensic pathologist is unequivocal: the death resulted from a 12 cm left lateral cervical wound, which severed the external carotid artery.
The deceased leaves behind a wife and a young daughter. The accused will now have to answer for his actions before the public prosecutor at the High Court of Louga.
