Une mission de contrôle vire au drame à Thiès : Un douanier se fait tuer, l'auteur présumé en fuite
The Senegalese customs service is in mourning following the tragic death of one of its agents on duty in Thiès. A. Ndiaye was fatally struck by a truck in the commune of Darou Khoudoss, in the department of Tivaouane. The accident occurred during a nighttime inspection by his team. The customs officer was carrying out his duties when he was violently hit by a truck. He died instantly. The truck driver reportedly caused a second accident while attempting to flee. He then abandoned his vehicle and disappeared on foot.
After the gendarmes from the local brigade in Mboro examined the scene, the body was taken to the hospital morgue. The truck was impounded at the brigade's premises, and its owner was summoned by investigators, according to Seneweb sources, while the driver remains at large.
No confirmation regarding drug trafficking
Contrary to rumors circulating on social media, the investigation has not yet determined whether the fugitive was transporting drugs. The investigation continues to shed light on the exact circumstances of this tragedy and to locate the truck driver.

Il l'a peut-être tué par accident, car les agents aiment se mettre au milieu de la route sans penser que les voitures peuvent parfois avoir un problème de frein.
