Viol et charlatanisme : le carreleur I. Ndao condamné à 7 ans de réclusion criminelle

The criminal chamber of the Thiès High Court delivered its verdict on Monday, April 13, in the case of rape, collection of personal data, and quackery involving tile setter I. Ndao. The defendant was brought before the court on Monday, February 23, 2026, for offenses dating back to 2023 in Pout.

After deliberation, the chamber found the accused guilty on all counts and sentenced him to seven years' imprisonment.

According to the indictment, the defendant sexually assaulted N. Fall, a divorced woman and mother of three, before filming her after threatening her with a gun. He is also accused of using mystical practices to lure the victim to his home.

In court, I. Ndao categorically denied the allegations. He maintained that the complainant was his girlfriend and that the accusations stemmed from a financial dispute. According to his version of events, the victim managed a tontine (a type of savings and loan association) worth 350,000 FCFA, from which he was to receive a share. He stated that the complainant had accused him of failing to give her the tontine money.

For her part, N. Fall explained that the defendant had contacted her to tell her he had noticed abnormal things about her, mentioning "farou rap" which, according to him, would prevent her from remaining in a marriage long-term. He then offered her mystical baths and insisted she come to his home to collect them.

The victim stated that once at the residence, the accused led her to his bedroom after locking the door. She maintained that she was assaulted, then threatened with a gun before being forced to have sex. She also stated that she was filmed without her knowledge and that the accused threatened to release the footage if she refused to submit again.

In his indictment, the public prosecutor considered that the facts were established and requested ten years of criminal imprisonment against I. Ndao.

I HAVE THE FEELING THAT THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG.
