Ziguinchor : Absa Faye célèbre la force et la solidarité des femmes en situation de handicap
On the occasion of International Women's Day, the First Lady of Senegal, Absa Faye, shared on her social networks a vibrant testimony of her meeting with the women of the National Committee of Women of the Senegalese Federation of Associations of Disabled Persons, in Ziguinchor.
The meeting was marked by rich and sincere exchanges, facilitated by panelists whose expertise and commitment opened a crucial dialogue on the realities experienced by women with disabilities. These discussions highlighted their challenges, but also their immense capabilities and their active role in society.
Absa Faye expressed her emotion at the collective strength and solidarity of the participants. Through their experiences, they demonstrate that obstacles can become catalysts for courage, organization, and action.
In her message, the First Lady reaffirmed her commitment to women, emphasizing the importance of building an inclusive society where every woman can take her place, make her voice heard, and contribute fully to our shared future. She also expressed her gratitude to the administrative and local authorities, as well as the organizations present, for their role in promoting inclusion.
On this March 8th, Absa Faye calls for continued efforts towards a more just and inclusive society, where the rights of women, especially those with disabilities, are fully recognized and valued.
