From the Aline Sitoé Diatta roundabout to the Guinea-Bissau consulate in Ziguinchor, young Bissau-Guineans, concerned about their future, marched along this route to protest the coup d'état perpetrated in their country. They are demanding a return to constitutional order and the continuation of the electoral process through the publication of the election results.

Nuno Dasylva, the spokesperson for the Bissau-Guinean marchers, thanked the Prime Minister of Senegal, Ousmane Sonko, for his vision, he said, which he described as clear for Senegal and for Africa.

"The coup, as Ousmane Sonko so aptly defined it, is a scheme, it is a fake coup. And we do not agree with it," he declared at the end of the march, in front of the Guinea-Bissau consulate.

For these Bissau-Guinean residents of Ziguinchor, a return to constitutional order is the only alternative, along with the publication of the general election results. "What is fundamental is to announce the election results," insisted Nuno Dasylva.

He and his comrades are appealing to the international community and ECOWAS in particular: "If the military has said they are going to stay in power, (the ECOWAS countries) should just act like they did in Gambia. Because the military is powerful, but the ECOWAS community is more powerful."

    Reglez vos propres problemes.
