Ziguinchor : Des jeunes en immersion à Mandina Mancagne pour réduire les nombreuses pertes de productions agricoles
For five days, 23 young people from the Ziguinchor region were trained in Mandina Mancagne on the processing and preservation of forest products and fruits and vegetables. This is an initiative of the Ministry of Agriculture that aims to promote youth entrepreneurship through the Agri-jeunes program and to limit the loss of agricultural products.
The program includes the assimilation of production techniques, the processing of fruits and vegetables, and forest products, indicated the supervisor of this training, Françoise Souané Diallo.
These 23 young people were selected by producer organizations from the region's three departments. And for Didier Djigoune, a beneficiary from the Oussouye department, this training could help them contain the enormous losses of produce from this region, which is full of agricultural potential.
