Ziguinchor : mort suspecte au quartier Boucotte Sindian
The Yamatogne police station in Ziguinchor has opened an investigation into the death of Mamadou Sylla. The man in his forties was found in poor condition last Wednesday in front of his home in the Boucotte Sindian neighborhood by his neighbor, Mr. Diatta.
Libération, which gave the information, reports that the latter "indicated that she found the victim in a deplorable state in the early morning, while she was sweeping the front of their house, before alerting the neighborhood to call for help."
Mamadou Sylla died shortly after being admitted to the Ziguinchor Regional Hospital, the newspaper reports. The same source indicates that Dr. K. Diouf, who treated him upon arrival at the emergency room, noted injuries to the deceased's head.
"He was stabilized and suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest 5 minutes after the consultation," the doctor emphasized. "Cardiac massage was performed for 10 minutes, after which the team managed to revive him. He suffered another cardiac arrest, but we were unable to revive him this time."
After examining the body themselves, the police opened an investigation to determine precisely the causes of Mamadou Sylla's death.
