3FPT et Delta Cuir scellent un partenariat : Vers une formation-insertion de 80 jeunes dans la fabrication de chaussures

The Diamniadio Industrial Platform hosted the official launch ceremony of a tripartite partnership between the Vocational and Technical Training Fund (3FPT), Delta Cuir Sénégal, and the Tooundé Vocational Training Institute (IFPT). The goal is to provide training and integration for 80 young people in the craft sector.

Indeed, according to the Director General of 3FPT, Dr. Babo Amadou Bâ, it's not just about funding training. He believes it's also about supporting young people throughout their careers until they enter the workforce. "Training is good, but supporting them through to integration is essential," he said.

Mr. Bâ specified that the 3FPT covers 100% of the educational costs, estimated at nearly 16 million CFA francs. He added that this program perfectly illustrates the national strategy aimed at strengthening the employability of young people through strong partnerships with businesses and training institutes.

In the same vein, Delta Cuir Senegal's CEO, Mansour Ndiaye, emphasized the crucial role of businesses in training and integrating young people. "The success of Senegal's industrialization will depend on the private sector's ability to invest in human capital," he said. He added that Delta Cuire will make its modern facilities available to trainees, and the best among them will be recruited at the end of the program.

The IFPT director, for his part, returned to the technical content of the training. He explained that the 80 beneficiaries will follow a program leading to a Certificate of Specialty (CPS), built according to national standards and adapted to the specific needs of Delta Cuir. He added that the training would combine theory and practice, before indicating that a final assessment would certify skills.

The institute will also provide post-training support to help young people integrate into the workforce from their earliest stages. On behalf of the 80 young people, Aïssatou Diouf expressed her gratitude. “We know that many would like to be in our shoes. This opportunity is a gateway to the future. We are committed to working seriously to earn this trust and contribute to the country’s development,” she said.
