Abdou Mbow : «Farba Ngom est un otage politique et c'est seulement par la politique qu'on pourra le faire libérer »
After their march in Agnam, party comrades, activists and supporters held a mega peaceful march in Dakar this Saturday to demand the release of Mouhamadou Farba Ngom.
"Our comrade is a political hostage and it is only through politics that they will succeed in having him released," said MP Abdou Mbow. He also believes that, since the departure of Macky Sall, Senegal has been led by "incompetents" who only seek to restrict the freedoms of citizens, especially opponents.
"This government is a succession of incompetent academics. I urge the people to face up to it. Ousmane Sonko predicted Farba's imprisonment during his campaign in Agnam. They did everything they could to imprison Farba, but they will do even more to free him," said Abdou Mbow.
Farba Ngom has been in pre-trial detention for months on charges of criminal conspiracy, money laundering and fraud involving public funds.
The opposition has therefore mobilized strongly to show its support for him. According to them, the prisoner's state of health is "considered incompatible with prison by specialists."
