Akademia Dakar has taken a decisive step in the training of senior executives by officially launching its Executive Master's program in Diplomacy and Geostrategy on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. This program is the result of a partnership with the prestigious Senghor University of Alexandria (Egypt), a direct operator of the Francophonie.
This unique master's program in Senegal addresses a pressing need: to train African experts capable of understanding and influencing global geopolitical dynamics. For Samuel Faye, CEO of Akademia Dakar, this collaboration with Senghor University aims to "equip Africa with the skills necessary to meet the diplomatic challenges of the 21st century."
For his part, Ulvick Houssou, director of campuses and partnerships at Senghor University, emphasizes the pan-African ambition of the project: "Africa can no longer be a passive recipient of the world's influence. It must understand it, anticipate it, and position itself within it."
Filling a strategic academic gap
Diplomacy and geostrategy are still too few and far between in the national training landscape. This Executive Master's program (Master 2 level) fills this gap by targeting managers, researchers, and public and private sector leaders. The program, scheduled to begin in March 2026, is based on a blended learning approach (in-person and online) and features presentations by leading international experts.
A strong gesture towards the media
As part of its corporate social responsibility initiative, Akademia Dakar has announced the awarding of five full scholarships to Senegalese journalists for its inaugural cohort. This initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of the national press to cover international issues and contemporary geopolitical crises.
Following the success of a previous joint course in public procurement, this new program confirms Akademia Dakar as a key player in academic innovation in West Africa.
