In preparation for the 146th edition of the Call of Seydina Limamou Laye, scheduled for January 19 and 20, 2026, the Dakar Autonomous Port Foundation (PAD) paid a courtesy visit to the General Khalif of the Layene community, Mamadou Lamine Laye, on Friday, January 16. This gesture underscores the institution's active participation in the preparations for this major religious event.

The meeting provided an opportunity to deliver significant material and financial support. "We contributed food items consisting of sugar, rice and bottled water, but also provided a financial contribution," said Diouma Tirera Marega, General Administrator of the Dakar Autonomous Port Foundation.

According to her, this contribution aims to support religious families and state authorities mobilized for the organization of the Appeal. "It is an activity with a strong social impact, but also with a large social audience," she emphasized, specifying that the initiative is fully in line with "the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) approach of the Autonomous Port of Dakar."

Beyond logistical support, the PAD delegation took advantage of this meeting to seek the blessing of the religious leader. "We asked for prayers for a peaceful Senegal, but also for the Autonomous Port of Dakar and its foundation," stated Diouma Tirera Marega.

The official also noted that the Foundation constitutes "the social arm of the Autonomous Port of Dakar" and intervenes in several key sectors, including "health, education, training and integration, culture, but also the environment".

The foundation's overall contribution to this 146th edition is estimated at 4 million CFA francs, reaffirming the PAD's commitment to major religious events in the country. As a reminder, this year's theme is: "Islamic Solidarity in the Face of Current Challenges."
