Bilan à mi-parcours du SIMA : Le DG Sambou Biagui exprime sa satisfaction par rapport à la « forte » mobilisation des acteurs
The first edition of the International Media Fair of Africa (SIMA), which opened Monday in Dakar, is organized by the Babacar Touré Press House of Senegal, under the auspices of the Ministry of Communication, Telecommunications, and Digital Affairs. After two days of intense activity, the organizers have taken stock of the event's progress. In this exclusive interview with Seneweb, Mr. Sambou Biagui, Director General of the Babacar Touré Press House, expressed his satisfaction with the commitment of stakeholders, particularly the Senegalese government, to "have a responsible and free press." He also welcomed the "strong mobilization" of media professionals from Senegal and across Africa in support of a responsible and free African press. For him, this first edition of SIMA, which brought together nearly 25 countries and almost 200 delegations, was a remarkable achievement.
The Senegalese journalist also stressed the need for the African press to talk to each other and have its own narrative, but above all, to adapt to the new challenges of the media.
