Coris Bank organise une randonnée contre le cancer du sein
The colors of hope and solidarity filled the streets of Dakar this Sunday, October 26, 2025. Coris Bank International, in partnership with the Senegalese Hiking Federation, organized a large-scale civic march on the theme: "The fight against breast cancer."
Starting at 8 a.m., hundreds of participants wearing pink t-shirts set off from the Coris Bank headquarters for a symbolic and sporting route that covered the Rond-point Pharmacie Mamelle, the Corniche Ouest, and ended at the Monument de la Renaissance.
A Call for Screening and Solidarity
This initiative, beyond its sporting aspect, reflects Coris Bank's desire to raise public awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer, a disease that continues to affect many women.
Coris Bank CEO Prosper Zongo emphasized that the bank will not stop at this march. Support measures will be put in place, including screening sessions, sports activities, and awareness campaigns against the disease.
"Through this hike, we want to remind everyone that prevention and solidarity are our best weapons against cancer. Together, we are walking for life," said Mr. Zongo at the start of the event.
The Senegalese Hiking Federation, a key partner of the event, welcomed this initiative's strong social impact. Its president, Mame Saliou Sall, emphasized the unifying role of sport in raising community awareness:
"Walking is a simple but powerful act. Today, our steps symbolize the unity of an entire people for a noble cause. I congratulate Coris Bank for its civic commitment and sense of social duty," he declared to applause.
Throughout the route, in a warm and friendly atmosphere, the walkers – men, women, children and the elderly – carried placards bearing strong messages, emphasizing in particular the fact that “every step counts against breast cancer”.
With this action, Coris Bank reaffirms its role as a corporate citizen, placing the health and well-being of the community at the heart of its priorities.
