Développement du capital humain : L'État compte former 700 000 techniciens d’ici 4 ans
As part of the "1000 Women" Project, an exhibition and networking fair for products from women entrepreneurs was held this Wednesday at the Thiès Technical and Vocational High School.
Through this project, funded by a Canadian partner, these women working in the crafts, agriculture, and agri-food processing sectors received state-recognized diplomas in their respective fields of expertise. This allows them to integrate into the national and international economy.
According to the Inspector of Technical Education and Vocational and Technical Training, Samba Sette, the "1000 Women" project aims to strengthen the technical and entrepreneurial skills of vulnerable women who are already active.
He added that this exhibition at the Thiès Technical and Vocational High School allows for interaction between women beneficiaries, students, funding institutions and businesses.
Inspector Samba Sette announced that the state has put in place a human capital development program.
He announced that in the National Transformation Agenda-Vision 2050, the Ministry of Vocational and Technical Training plans to train 700,000 technicians between 2025 and 2029.
The inspector added that by 2034, 1 million technicians will be trained, and 5 million technicians by 2050. He promised that the Thiès Technical and Vocational High School will play a major role in this training program.
He announced that this program has already started at the Thiès Technical and Vocational High School with the acquisition of significant equipment in the fields of information technology and industry.
