Éducation : À Richard-Toll, Me Babacar Ndiaye (Dg de la SNR) mise sur le numérique pour transformer le CEM Makha Sarr
The Makha Sarr Middle School in Richard-Toll resonated with activity on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, during its major annual cultural event. Held under the patronage of Mr. Babacar Ndiaye, Director General of the National Debt Recovery Company (SNR), the day was marked by a significant act of civic engagement: the donation of substantial computer equipment to modernize the students' learning environment. For Mr. Ndiaye, this support goes beyond mere material assistance, embodying a strategic vision of digital transformation perfectly aligned with the new public policy framework, Vision Senegal 2050.

In his address to an audience of administrative and territorial authorities and education partners, Mr. Babacar Ndiaye emphasized that digital technology is no longer an option but a lever for accessing knowledge and a pillar of development. "By equipping this school with computer equipment, we are laying a concrete foundation for a connected, modern, and equitable school," he declared. Speaking to the students with visible emotion, he recalled his own journey as "a pure product of the Senegalese public school system," inviting the youth of the Dagana department to draw inspiration from the high-level professionals trained in these same classrooms to become the builders of tomorrow's Senegal.

A collective mobilization against school violence
Beyond the digital transition, the Director General of the SNR used this platform to directly address the event's central theme: "The different forms of violence in schools." In a powerful plea, the legal expert detailed the many faces of this scourge—whether physical, verbal, psychological, or digital through cyberbullying—while advocating for a "zero tolerance" policy for sexual violence. For Mr. Ndiaye, the response must be collective and involve education in the values of respect and citizenship in order to build a school where everyone can succeed without fear.

This initiative is part of SNR's broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy, which provides ongoing support to schools, Koranic schools (daaras), and religious centers. This expertise in social engagement has also recently led to the institution being involved in LEGS Africa's discussions on social protection policies in Senegal.

In conclusion, the sponsor reaffirmed his willingness to support any structuring initiative for youth, strongly reminding everyone that "the future belongs to those who are preparing the generations of tomorrow today."
