France : L'humoriste Jarry s'invite dans le débat sur l'homosexualité au Sénégal
During his appearance on the French television program Quotidien on TMC, French comedian Jarry delivered a message of support to homosexuals living in Senegal. Visibly moved, he expressed his solidarity with the increasingly precarious situation of the LGBT community in the country.
“I would just like to express my thoughts for all the homosexuals in Senegal,” Jarry began. He explained that he receives many messages of distress from Senegalese people forced into hiding: “Many of you write to me on social media to tell me that you are forced to hide, that you are threatened with death in 2026.”
Showing his affection, the comedian concluded with a call for caution and survival: "I just wanted to tell them that I don't know how we can help you, but we are thinking of you very much. Resist, hide."
This testimony comes in a tense political context in Senegal, marked by the recent promulgation, on March 31, of a law toughening sanctions against homosexuality under the presidency of Bassirou Diomaye Faye.
