Sonatel, through the Orange Digital Center (ODC) program, inaugurated the Orange Digital Club of Thiès on Monday, December 22, 2025, located at the Iba Der Thiam University of Thiès (UIDT-T).

This inauguration is part of three days of integrated actions, organized from December 20 to 22, 2025, marked in particular by free medical consultations organized by the Sonatel Foundation and a hackathon led by Sonatel Ci Sen Gokh, mobilizing the local digital ecosystem.

It reflects the group's desire to create a lasting synergy between digital innovation, social inclusion, and territorial impact in the Thiès region. These are initiatives with a strong social and territorial impact.

The Orange Digital Club in Thiès is a new space dedicated to training in digital professions, technological innovation, and youth entrepreneurship. It aims to support students, pupils, and young project leaders in developing digital skills adapted to market challenges and the needs of the region.

Following successful installations in five universities (Bambey, UAM, Ziguinchor, Touba, Saint-Louis), the opening of the ODC Club in Thiès strengthens Sonatel's territorial network and confirms its commitment to bringing digital opportunities closer to local populations.

Beyond that, Sonatel's presence in the Thiès region is illustrated through a program of complementary activities carried out by its various entities, in a logic of synergy and social impact: Orange Digital Center - inauguration and launch of the activities of the ODC Club of Thiès; Sonatel Foundation - organization of free medical consultation days and donation of an oxygen plant to the geriatric center of Thiès for the benefit of the population and medical staff; Sonatel Ci Sen Gokh - organization of a hackathon, mobilizing the local digital ecosystem around innovative solutions for territorial development; a field activation with Orange Bank and Orange Money.

These actions are aimed in particular at pupils, students, beneficiaries of health structures, medical professionals, actors in the digital ecosystem and local authorities.

Through this regional initiative, Sonatel reaffirms its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR), placing youth, health, innovation and digital inclusion at the heart of its strategy.
