This Tuesday, September 2, 2025, the departure lounge of the Hajj Terminal in Diass hosted the departure ceremony of 70 wards of the nation for a summer camp in Morocco, organized by the National Office of Wards of the Nation (ONPN) on board an Air Senegal flight. Under the national theme "Educational communities and Olympism cultivating the practice of respect and our values," this initiative aims to promote the values of respect, friendship, and excellence through the philosophy of Olympism.

Assane Samb, representing the CEO of Air Senegal, praised the importance of this trip: "Dear students, you are more than passengers for Air Senegal. You embody the hope and strength of our youth, proof that, despite the challenges, the Senegalese nation is home to courageous and forward-looking youth."

He highlighted Air Senegal's role not only as a carrier, but also as a corporate citizen committed to creating opportunities for young people.

Fatima Mbengue, Director General of the ONPN, recalled that this summer camp seeks to strengthen the emotional resilience and social and family integration of the wards. She indicated that the ONPN supports 1,098 orphans declared wards of the nation, offering them appropriate support, including schooling, medical care, psychosocial assistance, training, and help with professional integration.

Ms. Mbengue also thanked the partners who made this initiative possible: Air Senegal, AIBD, Agence Galoya Voyages, GLAS, the Dakar Port Authority Foundation, the Lonase Foundation, 3MD Énergie, Dakar Dem Dikk, Fina Africa and Coset. Abdou Dione, representing the pupils, expressed their gratitude to the ONPN and its partners for their commitment to improving their living conditions. Supervised by Mohamed Rassoul Mbaye, director of the educational community, the 70 children will spend 15 days in Morocco for an "educational summer camp."
