Relance du projet immobilier de Bambilor : La CDC passe à l'offensive pour les acquéreurs
After fifteen years of uncertainty and setbacks, the Bambilor social housing project has reached a decisive turning point. Between financial restructuring and the effective resumption of construction, the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC) intends to settle a substantial debt and restore the confidence of its investors.
A strategic takeover
Under the leadership of its CEO, Fadilou Keïta, the CDC has undergone a profound transformation of the governance of the Société de Réalisation et de Travaux (SRT). Formerly a minority shareholder, the institution has regained control: "We have now increased our stake from 49% to 51%." This move now allows the CDC to have "complete control over everything that happens at SRT," putting an end to a period when the lack of a majority stake hampered the management of the company.
Repayments and construction projects: The dual commitment
The event this Friday, April 10th, in Bambilor marks the fulfillment of two major promises: the resumption of work and the return of funds to those who wish to withdraw. Fadilou Keïta revealed a significant financial commitment of "2.5 billion between CDC Habitat and SRT" to initiate this phase.
On the ground, the priority is clear:
Responses to withdrawal requests: Out of a forecast of 1.4 billion CFA francs, more than "400 and some million" have already been released to the buyers.
Site reactivation: More than 300 workers are currently mobilized to address outstanding issues on 57 villas, continue paving 103 others and launch new developments.
The Director General did not hesitate to denounce past abuses, estimating that "10 billion have been embezzled" in this project initiated in 2011. Faced with criticism and protests, he pointed the finger at attempts at political manipulation. "We cannot, with every reaction, have to go out and submit to the dictates of certain people."
The ultimate goal remains social. The CDC reiterates that it serves the public interest and considers itself harmed just like the citizens. The complete completion of the works is now projected within the next three months.
