Thiès : L'école Kaba Sall a accueilli la 2e journée du déploiement du projet "EDUPOLSEN"

The Senegal of tomorrow is being built, with a new chapter in the history of the Senegalese National Police being written in honor and in service to the law through the "Senegalese Police Education" (EDUPOLSEN) project. This is the conviction of Commissioner Moussa Fall of the 1st Arrondissement of Thiès, who presided over the launch ceremony for the second day of the Senegalese Police Education (EDUPOLSEN) project on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at the Kaba Sall Elementary School in Hersent (East Thiès). The project's activities were officially launched on Tuesday, March 17, at the Malick Sy High School by the Central Commissioner, Head of the Regional Public Security Service.

from Thiès.

A major activity, which enshrines the concept of "Community Policing" and the strengthening of the sense of national belonging among young people, and is part of the perspective of the celebration of the 66th Independence Day of Senegal, whose national festivities will be held this year in the city of Thiès.

Beyond the solemn flag-raising ceremony, this event aims to establish a direct dialogue between law enforcement and students. The National Police conducted awareness sessions on crucial issues for young people, including drug prevention, road safety education, and combating the dangers of cybercrime.

The Commissioner of the 1st Arrondissement of Thiès emphasized that "this project is not simply a public relations exercise. It represents a profound transformation of our approach, a paradigm shift in how the National Police conceives of its mission." According to Officer Moussa Fall, "with EDUPOLSEN, it's no longer simply about control, intervention, and repression, but also and above all about educating, supporting, and sharing values with Senegalese youth."

He continued: "EduPolSen's ambition is clear: to act upstream rather than downstream, to prevent early rather than repress later, to build bridges that unite us rather than walls that divide us. We understand that a modern police force cannot simply respond to security problems; it must contribute to preventing them from arising in the first place." And this prevention, he indicated, "begins at school." He emphasized the equally crucial role of parents, reminding everyone that children's education is a shared responsibility between families, schools, and now, the National Police through EDUPOLSEN.

For Commissioner Moussa Fall, EduPolSen will thus be an opportunity for the National Police to regularly engage with students and share essential values related to respect for national symbols, road safety, environmental protection, and the prevention of juvenile delinquency, violence, and addiction. This work began today with a practical awareness and discussion session on road safety. He emphasized that EduPolSen "is not an initiative of the Police alone; it is a partnership between our institutions, united by a common mission: to educate the citizens of tomorrow; to create an environment where patriotic values are not merely abstract concepts, but realities lived every day."
