Touba sous les eaux : Serigne Habibou Mbacké lance un appel au secours au nom du Khalife
The holy city of Touba is going through a difficult ordeal with flooding caused by rainwater submerging several neighborhoods and homes. Faced with this critical situation, Serigne Habibou Mbacké Falilou, of the "Touba Ca Kanam" association, expressed the suffering of the population and launched a passionate appeal to the authorities.
A message on behalf of the General Caliph of the Mourides
Speaking as the legal entity of the "Touba Ca Kanam" association and on behalf of the Caliph General of the Mourides, Serigne Habibou Mbacké sought to reassure the faithful of the compassion of their spiritual guide. "The Caliph is aware of all your suffering. He knows that no one can move without floundering. Even his own compound is affected," he declared.
In his speech, Serigne Habibou Mbacké urged the faithful to "maintain faith and courage," drawing poignant parallels with other sufferings around the world. He referred to the situation of the Palestinians as "a reminder that the pain of believers is never in vain."
The religious leader was keen to clarify the nature of his message: "We are neither politicians nor influencers. We are disciples who are suffering and who want this suffering to disappear."
An urgent appeal to the authorities and to people of good will
Faced with the scale of the disaster, Serigne Habibou Mbacké launched a vibrant appeal addressed to several levels of responsibility:

- At the town hall of Touba,
- To the State of Senegal,
- To religious leaders.
