Trois décennies au service de la sécurité électrique au Sénégal : Proquelec fête ses 30 ans
Senelec celebrated, this Tuesday, October 14, 2025, the 30th anniversary of its subsidiary Proquelec, a pioneer in electrical safety in Senegal.
Since its creation in 1995, Proquelec has established itself as a key player in electrical risk prevention and promoting quality installations. In three decades, the non-profit organization has trained more than 10,000 professionals and inspected nearly 600,000 installations across the country.
Its general manager, Moustapha Dièye, praised "a journey guided by the conviction that electrical safety is a right for all and a shared responsibility."
Completing its 30 years of service to electrical safety in Senegal, Proquelec is now preparing for the future with two major projects: a testing laboratory to certify the quality of electrical equipment and the creation of Proquelec Academy, a training center of excellence.
Mrs. Fatou Mbow Ly, who spoke on behalf of the Minister of Energy, Petroleum and Mines, praised "a noble mission" and reaffirmed the State's support for this initiative, which is part of Vision 2050 for universal access to safe, reliable and sustainable energy.
