Yassine Fall, ministre de la Justice : « Le gouvernement du Sénégal a été choqué par cette décision de la CAF »
Senegal's Minister of Justice, Yassine Fall, has just spoken out about the decision by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) which annulled the Lions' victory at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and awarded the victory to Morocco, by default.
“The Senegalese government was shocked by this decision from CAF,” the Minister of Justice declared. In an interview with our colleagues at the BBC today, she stated that the decision was “illegal and unjust.”
For Yassine Fall, this is simply a violation of the rules on which CAF claims to have based its decision. This is why, according to the Minister of Justice, Senegal has decided to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
She points out that when the referee asks the players to return to the field, "supervises the match and validates the score, that must be accepted." "But going back on that score is still shocking," she insists.
