Diarra, using the pseudonym Diadia, displayed her jubilation after her separation was finalized. She shared the video of her joy with her followers on TikTok, an action that shocked many Senegalese.
However, while some believe that marriage is a sacred and eternal commitment that must be preserved, the young divorcee considers her now ex-marriage as "the worst mistake of her life".
Married at 16, she says she is now relieved and free from a destructive relationship. "I've been chasing after this paper for so long," she says, particularly excited.
In other videos, Diadia opened up, revealing that she has been separated from her three children for over six months. This is yet another battle she is waging against their father, who currently has custody.
