Championnats du monde de surf : le Sénégal vise le podium africain
From September 5 to 14, El Salvador will host the ISA 2025 World Surfing Games, a competition that brings together athletes from 61 countries. Senegal is represented by a delegation composed of federal officials, coaches, and four surfers: Chérif Fall, Ismaïla Samb, Déguène Thioune, and Awa Sika Seck.
A coach, Aziz Kane, is already on site, but the team had to deal with a last-minute cancellation: a Senegalese surfer could not be registered in time.
According to the coaches, quoted by Le Soleil, the objective is to reach at least the quarter-finals and position themselves among the best African nations, ideally in second position behind countries such as South Africa, Morocco or Cape Verde.
