Deux Sénégalais en lice pour le titre de Meilleur Gardien Africain aux CAF Awards 2025
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the list of nominees for the 2025 CAF Awards, and Senegal is in the spotlight with two representatives in the Best African Goalkeeper of the Year category: Édouard Mendy, goalkeeper for the national senior team, and Marc Diouf, named best goalkeeper of the 2024 CHAN.
Édouard Mendy, African champion in 2022, continues to embody reliability and experience at the highest level. A true benchmark in his position, he remains one of the pillars of the Lions of Teranga thanks to his consistent performances for club and country. Alongside him, Marc Diouf has established himself as the great revelation of the African Nations Championship (CHAN 2024). Voted best goalkeeper of the tournament, he shone with his reflexes, his composure, and his decisive role in the remarkable run of the Senegalese team. This double nomination confirms Senegal's dominance on the continental stage in the goalkeeping position.
After seeing the birth of several talents in recent years, the country of Teranga is now establishing itself as a true African school of goalkeepers, between the international experience of Mendy and the rise to power of Diouf.

De ce côté franchement Edou est encore le meilleur car il a sauvé le Sénégal au début des éliminatoires et a remporté beaucoup de titres avec son club comme sauveur également.
