Ligue des champions : Paris et le Real confirment, Arsenal assure
The first four teams to qualify for the Champions League quarter-finals are now known. After Sporting Lisbon's qualification, who overturned Bodø/Glimt (5-0), Paris Saint-Germain, the defending champions, and Real Madrid confirmed their performances from the first leg.
Playing away at Stamford Bridge, PSG thrashed Mamadou Sarr's Chelsea 3-0. The young Senegalese defender was unlucky to concede the opening goal for PSG, making a glaring error that allowed Kvaratskhelia to score the first goal (4th minute). In the 14th minute, Barcola doubled the lead with a fine strike. On the hour mark, Mayulu completed PSG's dominance by scoring the third goal (62nd minute).
For their part, Real Madrid, winners in the first leg against Manchester City (3-0), confirmed their supremacy by winning again (2-1).
After a hard-fought draw in Germany against Bayer Leverkusen (1-1), Arsenal secured a victory in front of their home crowd. The Gunners dominated the German side (2-0). The final four teams to complete the quarter-final bracket will be determined this Wednesday.
