Polémique sur l’absence d’hommage à Pathé Ciss : le Rayo Vallecano s’explique
Rayo Vallecano has broken its silence following Pathé Ciss's strong reaction on social media. Fresh from winning the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal, the midfielder expressed his anger by retweeting a message calling the Madrid club a "shitty club," criticizing the lack of recognition he received upon his return.
Faced with the scale of the controversy, Rayo Vallecano's management felt compelled to clarify the situation. The club explained that no individual celebrations could be organized on the day in question due to the specific circumstances of the match. The players wore black armbands, and a minute of silence was observed in memory of the victims of the tragic train accidents in Adamuz and Gelida.
Rayo Vallecano, however, confirms that Pathé Ciss's continental title will indeed be recognized. An official tribute will be paid to him during the next home match, on Saturday, February 7, at the Vallecas stadium, against Real Oviedo.
This clarification should help ease tensions and bring this delicate episode to a close. On the sporting front, Pathé Ciss remains a key player for the Madrid club, having played 22 matches this season, confirming his status as an undisputed starter.

Je soupçonne que si Pathe n'avait pas réagi, ils n'auraient jamais célèbré son retour.
