Senegalese football continues to export its young talents to Europe. After his solid performances at the last U17 World Cup, El Hadji Malick Cissé is preparing to take a major step in his career by joining AC Milan.
Aged 18 and playing for Sahel FC, the central defender established himself as one of the key players in the Senegal U17 national team. Dominant in duels and very sure in his interventions, he formed a formidable partnership with Mor Talla Ndiaye, now a Liverpool player.
According to reports from journalists Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto, a full agreement has been reached between the Lombardy club and the young Senegalese international. El Hadji Malick Cissé is expected in Milan in the coming days to undergo his medical examination before officially signing with the Rossoneri.
Initially, the defender will continue his development within Milan Futuro, the club's youth team, with the medium-term objective of establishing himself in the professional squad of the seven-time European champions.
Highly sought after by European clubs, El Hadji Malick Cissé was also on the radar of RB Leipzig and FC Barcelona, a club with which he had recently completed a training course.
His final choice for AC Milan confirms the growing interest of major European clubs in talents coming from Senegalese training.
