Guédiawaye : « Sale griotte » contre « Goordjiguène », la colère du procureur, ambiance électrique au procès de deux responsables Pastef
The war of nerves shaking the Pastef coordination in Pikine-Ouest has spilled over into the Guédiawaye courthouse. Dieumb Mboup (41 years old), a teacher and municipal councilor, appeared there on charges of defamation and non-public insults following a complaint filed by her party colleague, Abdou Diallo, reports L'Observateur, which attended the hearing.
The spark: a Wave transfer of 5,000 FCFA
The same source indicates that the conflict stems from a political rivalry that has escalated on social media. Quoted by the daily newspaper of the Groupe Futurs Médias (GFM), Dieumb Mboup claims she was reacting to a provocation she considers humiliating. According to her, Abdou Diallo sent her a Wave transfer of 5,000 FCFA accompanied by the message: "Look at your Wave, I sent you 5,000 FCFA, you dirty griot." She adds that her detractor compounded the insult with a remark tinged with social contempt: "Guewelou h... (damned griot)."
According to the court proceedings, tensions escalated further with the dissemination of inflammatory audio recordings in several party WhatsApp groups with over 200 members. Abdou Diallo, a medical representative, presented a USB drive containing these recordings to the court. The plaintiff accuses the city councilor of defamation, claiming that he had held Mayor Cheikh Diop captive in order to secure a position at FERA.
In some excerpts shown to the court, Dieumb Mboup notably says: "It's an attendance fee, it's in the regulations. I don't need it. Give it to your wife and family, you who are in need." She also calls him "miserable" and insinuates that he behaves "like a woman," while promising to wait for him "until the Hague Court."
The prosecutor's anger
Despite the seriousness of the accusations—particularly that she called him a "goordjiguène," a term she denies uttering—the medical representative surprised those present by waiving any financial compensation. "I am withdrawing all claims for damages. I am not asking for anything, except that justice be served," he declared in court.
This quarrel between political allies inevitably provoked the annoyance of the public prosecutor, who warned against the excesses of political debate, as reported by Gfm: "If you start like this among political leaders, the day you become members of parliament, you risk turning the National Assembly into a sounding board."
The prosecutor requested the application of the law, while the defense argued for acquittal on the grounds of provocation. The court adjourned the case for deliberation until April 15.
