The latest cabinet reshuffle in Senegal continues to provoke reactions. In a press release, the NGO Human Action for Integrated Development in Senegal (AHDIS), led by Amacodou Diouf, believes that this change is not a simple technical adjustment, but a sign of deep divisions with serious consequences for the country's future.

According to AHDIS, the separation of powers is in jeopardy. "When the Ministry of the Interior, which heads the judicial police, risks being out of step with the master of procedure, it is the rule of law that trembles," the organization warns. It calls for an independent justice system, rooted in social, economic, and cultural realities, and truly at the service of the people.

The NGO also warns against any attempt to exploit public security. For it, stability cannot be based on authoritarianism, but on "experience, wisdom, and respect for fundamental rights."

The appointment of a former ambassador under Macky Sall as head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is seen as a disguised continuity. "No matter the pilot, if the fuel is bad, the plane won't take off," notes AHDIS, which advocates for bold diplomacy, focused on African interests rather than the circles of the old regime.

The employment-training combination, considered a source of hope for young people, must be managed transparently, according to the NGO. AHDIS warns against any political exploitation: "Employment must not become a tool for patronage, but a lever for social transformation."

Finally, the organization deplores the lack of concrete measures to support workers and the most vulnerable populations. "Ignoring the daily suffering of millions of Senegalese is a serious political error," emphasizes Amacodou Diouf.

For AHDIS, this political moment goes beyond mere commentary. It calls for "organization, vigilance, and mobilization." The Senegalese people, the NGO concludes, "deserve a government that reflects their image: fair, courageous, and resolutely forward-looking."
