Scandale médical : Une patiente violée sous anesthésie par son médecin, le récit glaçant de la victime
A disturbing case has shaken public opinion in Guinea. Ms. Tadi Kourouma accuses her doctor of raping her while she was under anesthesia during a consultation in 2022. Between silence, pregnancy, and a legal battle, this mother has decided to break the taboo.
According to her account, it all started with an intravenous injection administered by the doctor. She claims to have fallen asleep for several hours before waking up with strong suspicions.
"When I woke up, he told me that he couldn't resist me and that he slept with me," she confides.
In shock, she explained that she left the clinic without immediately filing a complaint, following the advice of those around her who were anxious to preserve her marriage. But a few weeks later, she discovered she was pregnant.
Refusing to terminate the pregnancy despite, according to her, the doctor's suggestion, this situation turned her personal life upside down. "My husband discovered the pregnancy at eight months. It caused our divorce," she laments.
After the birth of her child, Ms. Kourouma claims to have taken legal action. She maintains that the doctor did not deny the facts. However, she denounces what she considers to be the unsatisfactory handling of the case. "I was offered a settlement. He paid for accommodation for a year, then he stopped," she explains.
Despite her legal efforts, particularly in Dixinn, she maintains that justice has still not been served. Now the mother of a nearly four-year-old girl, she says she has chosen to publicize the case to make her voice heard.
"I want justice to be done. I don't want other women to go through what I went through," she says.
When contacted, the doctor in question had not responded at the time of publication. This case once again raises the issue of medical ethics in Guinea, as well as the fight against impunity for violence against women.
