Maroc : comment la visite de Sonko a été préparée
Along with his Moroccan counterpart, Aziz Akhannouch, Ousmane Sonko co-chaired the 15th Senegalese-Moroccan Joint Commission meeting on January 26 and 27 in Morocco. Preparations for this meeting truly began with the appointment of Cheikh Niang as Minister of Foreign Affairs. "As soon as he took office, he was determined to come to Morocco to organize and prepare this. He invited his counterpart, who had visited Senegal in November and met with President Bassirou Diomaye Faye during that visit," revealed Abdou Soulèye Diop of the Forvis Mazars firm, in an interview published this Monday in L'Observateur.
This Senegalese man, based in the Kingdom of Morocco, is the vice-president of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM).
In an interview with the Future Media Group newspaper, he reports that after the initial impetus provided by the Senegalese Foreign Minister, the two countries accelerated their efforts to hold the first joint commission meeting since 2013. "From that point on," Abdou Soulèye Diop continues, "things were expedited so that we could hold this event at the end of January. There were many exchanges of experts, and we were ready on the 26th and 27th for this high-level meeting to take place; we welcomed it with great pleasure."
