Éducation inclusive : Guy Marius Sagna dénonce des inégalités dans la prise en charge des élèves déficients visuels
MP Marius Sagna has called on the authorities to address the conditions for the care of visually impaired students in Senegal, which he considers inadequate and a source of inequality.
According to him, these students face several constraints. He explains, in particular, that they are "forced to take the baccalaureate exam in Thiès, while other students take it in their own department, or even in their own town." He considers this situation detrimental.
He also denounces the exam conditions, specifying that "on the day of the baccalaureate, while other students have their exams at 8 a.m., visually impaired students have them at 10 a.m., because the transcription of the subjects into braille is done on the same day," with compositions that can extend late into the day.
On a daily basis, he emphasizes that "going to school every day is a real challenge for visually impaired students," calling for the implementation of an adapted transport system.
The MP claims to have gathered this information from the national inclusive school government for visually impaired students and indicates that he has already contacted the relevant authorities.
