Affaire Tabaski Ngom : vers un « pschitt » judiciaire pour Moustapha Diop
Like the Force Covid funds case, Tabaski Ngom's accusations against Moustapha Diop appear to be losing all credibility, reports Les Échos in its Wednesday, December 24th edition. The Treasury inspector, currently imprisoned for embezzlement and money laundering, had implicated the former minister, but the discreet investigation conducted by the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) is now undermining her version of events.
The daily newspaper reveals that Moustapha Diop's two drivers, key figures in the accuser's account, were questioned the previous day by the DIC (Criminal Investigation Division). They categorically denied ever acting as intermediaries to collect funds and were released without further summons.
Before them, the same source insists, Momath Bâ, the former Director General of Aprosi, had also exonerated his former supervisory body. Despite notoriously strained relations with the minister—whom the latter had tried to dismiss three times—he swore he had never given a single franc to Moustapha Diop.
For the defense of the deputy-mayor of Louga, this case, described as "incredibly frivolous", seems to be heading towards a resolution without further action.
