Interpol : mauvaise nouvelle pour Madiambal Diagne
Interpol has approved the Senegalese justice system's request for Madiambal Diagne's arrest. Libération, which reported the news in its Monday edition, reports that the institution, headquartered in Lyon, France, has declared itself ready to execute the international arrest warrant issued against the journalist by the president of the College of Investigating Judges of the Financial Judicial Pool (PJF). The accused, who traveled to France despite the travel ban imposed on him—he claims never to have received it—can therefore be arrested at any time.
This is bad news for Madiambal Diagne's lawyers. They had filed a request to have the arrest warrant and subsequent proceedings quashed before the Financial Indictment Division of the Dakar Court of Appeal, citing a "violation of the law and the rights of the defense."
Madiambal Diagne is being prosecuted for criminal association, fraud involving public funds, money laundering committed by an organized criminal group and through the use of facilities provided by the exercise of a professional activity, and complicity in this matter.
This procedure is the consequence of the conclusions of the Court of Auditors report published in November 2020 and referring to dubious financial transactions involving a company owned by the journalist.
Madiambal Diagne is being investigated, along with his wife, two children, and one of his friends. They were arrested after he left for France and then placed in custody.

Pour une fois c'est un pays africain qui initie une enquêtes sur des biens mal acquis et la personne visée qui est un aperiste camouflé journaliste s'enfuit chez les colons.
Hmmmm.... c'est le moment de voir si les colons sont sincères dans leurs traques de biens mal acquis en Afrique.
Et interpol à lyon qui valid l'extradition , c'est pas des blancs ???

Interpol, en tant qu'organisation internationale de coopération policière, n'a pas de pouvoirs d'arrestation directs ni de force exécutoire propre. Son rôle principal dans une affaire comme celle de Madiambal Diagne est de faciliter la collaboration entre les forces de police des pays membres.
Interpol agit comme un intermédiaire administratif et technique pour amplifier la portée d'un mandat d'arrêt national, mais l'exécution dépend entièrement des autorités nationales. Dans le cas de Diagne, l'extradition finale relève des tribunaux français, qui pourraient refuser si des irrégularités sont constatées.
