Abdoulaye Dièye condamne les attaques contre Serigne Moustapha Sy Al Amine
The president of the Alliance with the People (2AP/SiggiI Jotna), Abdoulaye Dièye, reacted strongly to the remarks which he describes as disrespectful and inappropriate towards the religious guide of Serigne Moustapha Sy Al Amine.
The former director general of Blaise Diagne International Airport (AIBD) said he received these statements with profound dismay and outrage. He believes these "gratuitous and unjustified" attacks seriously undermine the values of respect, tolerance, and social cohesion, while also offending the sensibilities of millions of worshippers.
The president of 2AP/Siggi Jotna reiterated his movement's commitment to social peace, mutual respect, and national harmony. In this regard, he affirmed his rejection of any trivialization of statements that could undermine community cohesion and sow discord within society.
Abdoulaye Dièye also emphasizes that freedom of expression, while fundamental in a democracy, should never be used as a pretext for offense, stigmatization, or incitement to contempt. According to him, the respect due to religious leaders and moral authorities is an essential pillar of social cohesion.
While calling for restraint and responsibility, the president of the Alliance with the People encourages the use of legal channels to ensure that such acts do not go unpunished. He further emphasizes that stability and social peace depend on respect for the spiritual foundations that unite the people.
