«Affrontement institutionnel…» : Le ministre-conseiller Adiouma Sow, membre de Pastef, s’adresse leurs députés
Divisions within Pastef have been exacerbated in recent days by the new direction taken by the electoral code reform. This Saturday, following the debate sparked by the second reading requested by the Head of State, Adiouma Sow spoke out.
"I take this opportunity to ask our parliamentary majority to return to better sentiments, to show serenity and less emotion, in order to avoid procedural haste which can only lead to material errors," he says to his party colleagues, in a post via Facebook.
The minister-advisor and member of the political bureau of Pastef, calls above all for serenity: "At this stage, it is vital to abandon the path of institutional confrontation which seems to be gaining ground among some of our deputies and to favour political dialogue which remains, in my opinion, the best way to succeed in this electoral reform which will undeniably constitute an advance for our democracy," he says.
Adiouma Sow points out to his comrades that they owe the country strong social cohesion, a resilient economy, and a rule of law which implies the preeminence of the legal order over the political order.
