Abdou Mbow delivered a scathing assessment of the regime after one year and eight months in power. Speaking on the "Sunday Jury" program, he stated that "the current governance is characterized by the imprisonment of politicians, journalists and columnists, the deterioration of the social fabric, the mass dismissal of young people and the slowdown of the economy, particularly in the construction sector."
He denounced "anomalies in budget management and debt, pointing to the lack of opacity on central and contingent debt, massive transfers to the presidency and the absence of publication of reports from the IGF and the Court of Auditors."
According to him, the public has a right to this information to understand governance and funding choices. Finally, he criticized the repeated announcements of reductions in fuel, gas, and electricity prices, emphasizing that the public expects concrete actions rather than broken promises.
