Tensions at the highest levels of government appear to have paralyzed Pastef in Kolda, where members of the ruling party, when approached for comment, declined to speak. Furthermore, Pastef/Kolda has not issued any statement to take a position.
Despite questions about the legitimacy of Diomaye's statement and Pastef's statement regarding the leadership of the Diomaye-President coalition coordination, local party officials have maintained a deafening silence. This silence is disorienting party members in Kolda, who no longer know what stance to take.
And the latest statement by the Minister of the Environment, deemed unfortunate by political observers, only muddied the waters. Political leaders from Pastef in Kolda declined to comment. "We don't want to fan the flames," one of them declared, calling for calm.
Previously, the Pastef section in Kolda was plagued by an internal dispute over the role to be given to allies of the ruling party. The Kolda Debout movement, led by Abdourahmane Baldé, also known as "Doura," was the bone of contention between the JPS (Young Socialist Party) and the camp of MP Yoba Baldé, who was accused of favoring the movement's president.

Les gens sont tellement déçus 😞 de Diomay qu’il y’a beaucoup qui veulent pas se prononcer ça fait trop mal la trahison.
Pastef, c'est Ousmane Sono qui est le president. Aucune branche de Pastef n'a rien a declarer, ce le president et la direction generale du Parti le feront. Si un membre ou ca habite n'est pas pour, ce membre doit juste quitter le parti. L'electorat de Pastef APPARTIENT a Ousmane Sonko. Si certsain dirigeant de Pastef Kolda veulent changer de camp, il ne seront plus membre de Pastef Kolda qui est une branche de Pastef avec Ousmane Sonko comme president.
Donc please cessez ces articles visant a diviser Pastef. Personne ne peut diviser Ousmane Sonko en deux et c'est lui Pastef pour l99% de l'eclectorat de Pastef.
Bientot, les ministres et DG de Pastef vont faire face a une decision: rompre avec Diomaye et risquer de perdre leur job ou juste quitter Pastef pour un poste que Diomaye peut terminer a tout moment.
