Tributes continue to pour in to celebrate a historic milestone in Senegalese political life. On the occasion of the centenary of former Head of State Abdoulaye Wade, his successor, Macky Sall, paid respectful tribute to his predecessor's career. In a message published on his official channels, he wrote: "On this May 29th, marking his 100th birthday, I respectfully salute President Abdoulaye Wade, whose exceptional career has left its mark on the history of Senegal and Africa." Highlighting the political and institutional legacy left by the leader of the Senegalese Democratic Party (PDS), Macky Sall emphasized that "His commitment, his vision, and his dedication to democracy will leave a lasting imprint for posterity." The former president concluded his message with wishes for a long life and a solemn declaration: "I extend to him my best wishes for peace, health, and happiness. Happy birthday, Mr. President!"
