Conseil des ministres : le journal L’AS annonce un changement majeur
In its Thursday edition, L'AS questions the cancellation of the Council of Ministers meeting on Wednesday. "Neither the Presidency nor the Prime Minister's office has communicated the reasons for this absence, leaving room for various interpretations," the newspaper points out.
The daily newspaper reports that the heads of the executive branch, President Diomaye Faye and his Prime Minister, Ousmane Sonko, are on national territory, "thus ruling out the hypothesis of an impediment related to an official trip."
AS, citing "certain information", suggests "a possible reorganization of the government calendar, with Council of Ministers meetings potentially being held every two weeks from May onwards".
A major change would then be on the horizon. Perhaps. But the daily newspaper was quick to temper expectations: "this possibility has not been the subject of any official announcement at this stage."
