“Consultation directe de hautes personnalités du pays…”: Ce que le Pr. Diomaye a décidé pour la journée du dialogue national
This year, the National Dialogue Day will not take place, at least not in its usual format. Originally scheduled for May 28, 2026, it coincides with the Tabaski holiday, the Presidency of the Republic announced in a statement. Therefore, President Faye has decided to change the format.
“Concerned with ensuring that this major national event is celebrated in the best possible conditions, the Head of State has chosen, as an exceptional measure, to replace it with a more direct and focused consultation process,” the statement informs.
Thus, the Head of State will receive in audience, from May 21 to 31, 2026, several high-ranking figures and representatives of the vital forces for an in-depth exchange on the consolidation of national cohesion and the overall situation of the country.
“The Head of State reaffirms his permanent commitment to dialogue in times of peace. He renews his commitment to pursue, with determination and a spirit of inclusion, the building of a united, sovereign, just and prosperous Senegal, rooted in its strong values,” the statement informs.
